KENYA

Kenya, breath-taking landscapes, cultures, and wildlife. Nothing says safari like Kenya. Whether you’re exploring the famed Maasai Mara, bird-encrusted Rift Valley lakes or arid Samburu plains, it’s as if you’ve stepped into a wildlife documentary. The fact that Kenya straddles the equator with negligible seasonal temperature variance, makes it the perfect year-round destination for a combination safari-and-beach holiday. Best known for the annual Great Migration (July to October).

Places to visit...

The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves and is known for its wide-open plains and excellent year-round concentration of game, including the more than two million wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes that make up the famous Great Migration. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania it forms Africa’s most diverse, incredible, and most spectacular eco-systems.

Amboseli

Amboseli is one of Kenya’s elite National Parks and known for the sight of hundreds of big- tusked elephants set against the famous backdrop of Africa’s highest free-standing mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro (5895m). The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust.”

Lake Nakuru

Lake Nakuru in Kenya is just a three-hour drive from Nairobi in the Great Rift Valley. It boasts an abundance of wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Think black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs and hippo occupying euphorbia forests, acacia woodlands, savannah grasslands and rocky escarpments around a shallow, alkaline lake.
